A short after-school city tour to the old and dilapidated part of To Kwa Wan gave students a great inspiration on urban redevelopment in Hong Kong. The decayed part of the city inspired the participating students to ponder why redevelopment is necessary and the socio-economic impact on local residents. They applied the concepts of urban geography to real case study and had an enjoyable experience.
