Students Exchange Programme with Itoigawa UNESCO Geopark

Through the Geopark Schools Programme of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, 18 of our students from S3 to S5 had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Students Exchange Programme with Itoigawa UNESCO Geopark. Our students were excited to warmly welcome 26 S3 students from 4 junior high schools in Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
Throughout the programme, our students not only shared their own culture but also gained valuable insights into Japanese culture through engaging and interactive cultural exchange activities. The field trips to Sai Kung, Kat O, and Ap Chau, which are the key sites within the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, were particularly memorable. Exploring these areas together allowed the students to discover the fascinating geological features and rich history that make our Geopark so special. This exchange was an unforgettable experience, fostering new friendships and deepening the students' appreciation and understanding of the unique landscapes in Hong Kong.
