Social Innovation Inventor Design Competition 2023/24

Our team comprising 5A Wong Pak Wang, 5A Leung Hiu Yuet, and 4D Lau Zi De was awarded the Merit Award in the Social Innovation Inventor Design Competition 2023/24 organized by World Green Organisation. With the theme of “Smart Design on Optimising Land Resources,” our students designed a bicycle recycling centre for the Yuen Long South New Development Area using innovative and environmentally friendly elements. Through this competition and its associated visits to Kwu Tung North and Fanling North New Development Areas, and the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, our students gained valuable insights into sustainable urban design and the importance of integrating environmental considerations into urban planning.
