China Southern Airlines Careers Training Camp
On January 22, 2025, our S3 students participated in the China Southern Airlines Careers Training Camp. This event featured a rich variety of activities, encompassing three main areas: cultural experiences, an introduction to aviation technology, and career-oriented training. Through hands-on participation, students gained a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, the development of the national aviation industry, and professional values. The outcomes of the activity were remarkable.
In terms of cultural experiences, the students learned and practised the art of tea-making from both Chinese and Western traditions. They developed a deeper appreciation for the intricacies of traditional Chinese tea culture and its differences from Western tea culture, which sparked their admiration and love for Chinese culture. Secondly, the visit to the simulated aircraft cabin allowed the students to explore aviation technology related to STEM. They had the opportunity to operate a simulated cockpit and undergo emergency response training, such as handling turbulent airflow and using evacuation slides. These experiences gave the students a profound sense of the strength and progress of the national aviation industry, as well as a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of aviation safety. Additionally, the career-oriented training helped the students understand the importance of professional attitudes and personal qualities. Whether it was the first-aid training for the boys or the makeup and etiquette training for the girls, all the students were introduced to the professional requirements of aviation-related careers, further deepening their sense of responsibility and appreciation for the value of diligence.
